I am pleased to report that Marlowe's First Quilt is done! I say first because this project has been amazing for me - it was creative, inspiring, challenging enough but not impossible. The quilt is at once ugly, cute, funky, playful and sweet. I am now addicted to sewing, and can't wait to work on my next project. For now, here are some photos.

This is the back - the fabric is a thicker cotton, so hopefully will hold up to fun times at the park! |

wow!
looks beautiful!
That's beautiful!
Great job! I can't tell, did you make the patches yourself or was part of it prefinished? I made a cheat quilt once with all sorts of bugs on it, including praying mantis. I look forward to my future daughter using it.
Thanks guys! Natalie, the whole front I pieced together myself, which wasn't has hard as I thought it would be. The back is just two panels of the same printed fabric. I'm in love with quilting now - already planning a bigger one for us. :)
