Hey there all! Did you miss me? I sure didn't miss you, cause I was on a beach for a week, but now sadly I am back at home.
Cuba was amazing, as always. We had lots of sun, great beach days, the food was reasonably okay (I could never say it was great, no matter where we stayed - buffet is buffet), and all was very relaxing. Except for one thing.
THE RASH CAME BACK!!!!!
I couldn't even believe it - it showed up on the third day, and is still coming on strong. I thought maybe it was the sun, or the salt water, or something the hotel washed their sheets and towels in. Then I thought maybe it was the rum, so I only drank beer and wine for a whole day. Then it got worse, so I thought maybe it was the beer, so drank only rum all day. But I just kept itching and itching. And am still itching. I took some photos of it one day, so once I upload I will post them. I cannot be allergic to Cuba. I will not. I refuse.
So, drugged up on Benedryl, I was unfortunately not very exciting as far as travelling companions go, but I think my mom had a very fun trip, and finally got to relaxing by the end of it.
Our return travel was a bit tiring - we left Cuba Friday night/Saturday morning at 4:20am, so got to Montreal around 8am Saturday, then I had a hundred million things to start working on for the business, which is still in operation after my week away thanks to SB's valiant efforts. Then we went out for dinner to my mom's favorite restaurant here, then it was time for my Mommy's Christmas/birthday gift, the Rod Stewart concert. I am not a huge Rod Stewart fan, but my mom has loved him forever. It was actually a really great show, he played mostly old songs, and I knew most of the words. We had loads of fun, and took lots of photos and some video.
Then we went home and I finally got to have some sleep.
So that's what's been going on. I have tons of little stories from vacation, I'm sure, so once my photos are up, I will start posting about that. For now, it's time for some Benedryl, and the good awards are starting on the Oscars.

Deja vu
Remember last year, when I went on a lovely Cuban holiday, and the night before we left I got a ticket for running a red light?
And the year before that, when I went on a lovely Cuban holiday and came back with severe bronchitis from a cold I caught on the plane on the way there?
I just got a ticket for speeding. Three days before my departure, but I think within the same week is enough to prove that the fates are not happy when I am happy and going on vacation.

While you were having a wonderful weekend...
I WAS DYING!
Dying, I say.
Or at least had a very, very bad cold. Which I still have, but am fighting raucously whilst trying to prepare for air travel on Friday. I have flown with a head full of snot before, and it sucked hard.
So, Friday I woke up pretty much blown down, with a runny nose and zero energy. I had no walks, so that was a blessing, but it just kept getting worse and worse. I NyQuilled. I DayQuilled. I moaned about how I was on Death's doorstep. Sexy Boyfriend seemed indifferent.
Today I woke up feeling slightly better than I have been, meaning I wasn't leaking anymore. But then while I was dropping off the doggies from my group I was sucking on a cough drop (the menthol gets the sinuses moving), and I had one of those moments when you inhale at the exact moment that a bit of saliva is there, and then you feel like you are drowning, and then I had a coughing fit. The dogs thought it was very fun. Almost as fun as when I turn on the rear windshield wiper and scare them.
So, now I can't talk without squeaking. I will be taking more NyQuil in about twenty minutes and climbing into bed.
Which, by the way, is extra comfy because SB and I bought new pillows this weekend!!! I thought it might be good to get out of the house on Saturday (which, by the way, was so not a good idea and left me in a clammy sweat), and we had been meaning to use our Bay gift cards. They had a pillow sale, and bam, here we are with four new pillows and a whole lot of great sleep. I have been a goose down girl for a very long time, but recently began thinking that they may be contributing to my allergies, (probably not to down, but maybe the dust mites that like to live in there), so the new pillows are poly-fill and hypoallergenic. I love them.
Ya, way more then you needed to know about my bedroom, but how often does something this exciting happen?

Cuba in one week - WooHooo!!!!
So, ya, one week til vacation. I was kinda not thinking about vacation a lot, and wasn't really excited cause I never thought about it. But the last two weeks have been crazy burning hell. So now I'm VERY excited that next week is vacation. Very.
Charlie is still not showing signs of rabies since his showdown with the squirrel last week. Hard to tell since the vet said to watch for "A weird smell from the bite site" (his mouth - which always reeks) and "aggressive behavior". Hello, this dog has bit me at least five separate times. Anyway, so far no paralysis, and no foaming from the mouth. Awesome.
We've taken on like five million new clients in the last two weeks! Actually, probably like five new dogs, but whatever, I feel like I'm always running around town meeting them. I think that this sudden rush has been spurned by the ungodly frigid weather we've had lately and the fact that no one actually wants to be outside except for dogs. I hope they stay on through the spring and summer.
I went to yoga the other night for the first time with Nazi yoga guy (I have been avoiding him and taking classes with the other instructors instead). It was sooooooo hard. I'm pretty sure he pumps the heat higher than he's supposed to. Anyway, I thought I was going to die. But I didn't. I'm pretty sure I'll be ready for yoga again tomorrow. With one of the normal instructors.

The funniest/saddest thing I've seen in a while
The other day on the group walk I brought my two mutts with me, and we met up with the other group walker and all walked together. We were having a lovely time, and everyone was happy, until we noticed that one of the doggies run towards something in the woods. Maria screamed "Aaaah - he's got a squirrel!!!!"
At first I thought it was a dead squirrel, which happens all too often, but then the dog dropped the squirrel, and it was moving around and stuff. Yuck. A bunch of dogs had converged on the area, so I ran in to get them away and shoo them back onto the trail. Then my genius dog, Charlie, tried to sniff Dying Squirrel, got a little too close, and the Dying Squirrel latched onto his lip.
Picture, if you will, a high-strung Basset Hound (I know, that in itself is difficult to imagine) flopping his head back and forth with the most worried look I've ever seen, trying to shake free Dying Squirrel who has a death grip on his face. After a few seconds Dying Squirrel finally let loose, and I was able to grab Charlie by the collar and drag him away.
I feel bad that we had to leave the squirrel there suffering (I'm pretty sure it was already sick or dying to be on the ground in the first place for the first dog to catch hold of it), but I thought it was more important to get the dogs out of there so it didn't die while being ripped to pieces. However, as sad as that is, I would pay anyone at least $100 for a video of that 10 seconds Charlie had the squirrel stuck to his face.

Worst. Week. Over.
I hope.
The week did not slow down. Not even a little. There were tires to change out on one of the work cars, payroll to do, dogs to walk since one of my girls had the day off today. Also, Sick Cat got better, then got sicker, and today we had to put him down. It was my first time being with an animal when it was being euthanized, and I think I took it pretty well. The only time I started to tear up a bit was right before, while I was waiting for the vet I was scratching his ears and he started to purr. So sad - the rest of him was in so much pain that if you even tried to touch him he would growl and hiss, but he still loved getting his ears scratched.
So, that was a bit of a sucky end to the week, but what can you do, right? Our computer is back and fully operational - it was just a burned out power supply, which I guess is good, since it was relatively inexpensive to fix. I think I would have been just as happy if the whole thing was toast, but our info was still salvageable, and we could have gotten a new laptop. Oh well, for now I'm just thankful none of our data was lost.
That's the end of the week. I have to work this weekend, which sucks cause I'd really love to sleep in, but hopefully I'll be able to get a day or two off during the week this week to make up for it.

Worst. Week. Ever.
And it's only Tuesday.
Aside from getting whiplash on Saturday (which was actually the most fun I've ever had getting whiplash, and I would definitely choose snowboarding as my method of choice for getting whiplash in the future), I am having altogether a very crazy week.
Yesterday I woke up bright and early for our breakfast meeting at 7:30. At five to seven, we discovered that the truck had a flat tire. SB took a look at what it would take to change it out ourselves (for the record, Ford supplies you with the flimsiest, stupidest jack ever), and we decided we would leave it until after my meeting so I wouldn't be late. SB dropped me off at meeting. Meeting was actually fun, breakfast yummy. Only on the way home did I realize that the waiter over-charged us. A lot. Grrr.
One of my employees gave me a lift home. I called Roadside Assistance for a tire-change. They were actually quite quick. Drove to our mechanic and dropped off flat-tire for repair. Ran some errands, picked up my group, ran my group, dropped off my group. Looked for new windshield wipers at two different Canadian Tires for one of our vehicles. One store had driver's side size, but not passenger's. The other store had the passenger's side size and not the driver's. Got repaired tire put back on car. Went home.
Today, met a client at 9am. Got a call from one of my employees about a sick cat. A sick, bleeding cat. Took cat to Vet, who said outlook could be not good. Tried to contact Sick Cat's owner. Who's in England. Luckily, her assistant was able to get a message left for her, but wasn't sure when she would get back to me. Call from Vet - outlook not so bad, but still not guaranteed good. But could be worse. Picked up group, ran group, dropped off group. Visited Sick Cat - looking sad and pathetic with his lampshade on. Still no word from Sick Cat owner.
Went home - power out. Lovely. Couldn't do any office work. Call from Vet - need Sick Cat's insulin, Sick Cat needs to stay for a few days. Drove to Sick Cat's House, picked up insulin, drove to Vet, dropped off meds, petted Sick Cat. Sick Cat growls. Go home again.
Power back on. Yay. Press button to turn on computer. Nothing. Again. Nothing. AgainAgainAgainAgain. Call SB - I can deal with Sick Cat, Flat Tire, and running around like a crazy person no problem. But no computer - I'm almost in tears. Take computer to computer guy. Waiting now to hear results of "diagnostics". Sick Cat Owner calls - sounds calm, give her Vet's number, done with that for today.
So, a string of bad luck, leaving me very tired, and not very productive. But I guess it could be worse. Sick Cat could have been Dead Cat.

Finally some progress
Today I took a snowboarding lesson - the instructor seemed pretty impressed with my progress for a beginner, and I explained I had no problem with my heel edge, but couldn't do turns or get on my toe edge.
"Oh, you just turn your shoulders the way you want to turn, and then your legs will follow"
That's it?
So, before you knew it I was doing little mini-turns - still hard for me to stay on the toe edge, since I can't seem to get the balance between leaning too far forward or too far upright, but I can do a turn or two at least.
After my lesson, SB and I kept going for a few hours. Because of my balance issue and trying to get the feel of that, I fell quite a bit, but was taking it like a trouper. Until our last run. I had already fallen on my left butt/hip at least five times, and I'm sure a bruise will appear, but then I had a doozie of a back-flip thing and crashed on my butt, then whacked my head so hard my goggles flew off. I took a moment, then jumped up to catch up to SB, then like two seconds later some lady on skis ran smack into me from behind. I decided then we should call it a day. Before I died.
In other news, Cuba is a coming! Less than a month away now, and I can't wait! Sun, sand, drinks, and keeping my Mummy in line. They changed our flight times, so we end up getting a whole extra day of sunshine - WOOHOO!

Third time's a charm! Not really
Attempt number three at the snowboarding thing took place last night. I'm really starting to think that I'm not going to catch on to this thing. At least the snow was nice, so falling wasn't as painful as last time, but I was so afraid of falling because of my last experience that it was hard for me to try any new skills.
It was really cold (I think -20 was what we heard on the radio) plus the windchill, which at the top of the mountain was pretty crazy, but I didn't even notice because I was so terrified of falling, or getting run over by the little punks that obviously don't understand English or French when they see the signs that say "family zone/reduced speed".
Anyway, it took over an hour to do one run, and then it was time to go because they were shutting things down. SB is getting frustrated with me, I think, but I can't help it. I am so scared, so I go slow, and then my legs get killer sore because I'm so tense and always using the same muscles cause I still can't use my front edge. Ugh. I called yesterday to try and book a private lesson, but they didn't have any appointments available. I might try to get one for Friday afternoon. I think it will help to have a stranger yelling at me instead of SB.
When we got home I was freezing to death, so I took a hot shower, put on my pyjamas and crawled into bed. Then I was still freezing so I put on a hooded sweatshirt and wore the hood all night. That's how cold it was, cause until two nights ago we've been sleeping with the window open.

If only I could have the internet without an ISP
For the last three days, our internet connection has been....spotty. It's really annoying because each time it disconnects, I have to go into the office, climb under my desk, unplug all the routers and the modem, wait ten seconds, plug them each back in, then wait for the modem to reset itself, then see if it works. For the last three days, it was working enough that I could sporadically get some work emails done, get some tax stuff ready, and that's about it. No blogging. No personal email. Nothing.
Then this morning, I woke up to - SURPISE - a send/receive error on the office computer. Which means in the night the internet disconnected. Except this morning, it wouldn't log back on. I spent twenty minutes under the desk unplugging and re-plugging while my dog licked my face and whined.
Then I decided to call our ISP, who are just a bunch of dinks, really, aren't they? I really genuinely thought that maybe the girl had a brain in her head when after an hour and a half of checking connections, verifying ISP addresses, restarting the computer, resetting the modem, blah blah blah blah, finally we got a connection. Ten minutes after I hung up, the connection was lost. I was semi-tempted to buy a plane ticket to India to hunt that bitch down. I guess this is one of the benefits of global outsourcing - less deaths due to stringing customers along. SB said it is not their job to actually fix anything - they know there is a line problem, they know they can't do anything about it, but rather than tell you that, they keep you on the line until the connection randomly clicks in, tell you it's fixed, hang up and sing "HaHa Sucka."
By this time it was nearly noon, and I was pissed as hell. Not only was my internet not working, but due to icy weather, the satellite was out all morning too. I returned a few phone calls, stuffed some envelopes, then moped around until it was time for yoga.
The worst part is, I think it would be useless to up and change ISPs in protest. I think they are all the same - each one just as crappy as the next. It would just cost me more money in "connection fees" and modems, and then after three weeks of good service, I would wake up one morning to "Send/Receive Error."

Hey there 2007!
Wow, so it's the new year, and I have finally slowed down a bit at work. This week has been utterly decadent - a few work things, but all-in-all I pretty much just read and watched TV and got caught up on some office stuff. It felt SO GOOD!
Two nights ago SB and I went snowboarding for attempt #2 - we haven't had any natural snow lately, but they've been making some, so we thought we'd give it a try. However, the first run we did was a trail that was only recently opened, and it was hard-packed and .... hard-packed. I can't count the number of times I careened out of control, fell on my ass, fell to my knees, slid 50 feet on my back (thus pulling up my parka and causing major burn on my back). I have bruises everywhere. I was so discouraged when we finally got to the end that I was almost in tears, and SB was ready to strangle me with his board leash. We did another run, on one of the better groomed trails, and things went better, but I had hurt myself so bad on the first run that it just wasn't any fun. Even though we were only there for two runs, it took two hours, so I guess it was still worth the drive. And I'm still sore today. I'm going to set up an appointment to take a lesson next week - I have done okay so far with SB's instruction, but I get frustrated when he goes on ahead - it makes me panic, but he should be able to have fun too, so maybe the lesson is a great idea. Plus I'm sure the instructor will be able to explain things a little better to me.
In big, crazy news, I'm going to Cuba in February! I know, crazy! SB and I bought my mom tickets to see Rod Stewart (her fave 4ever) here in Montreal in February. She had already been planning on taking a trip south this year, so started looking into leaving from here, so she would maybe get a better price than leaving from Halifax. Plus she has to come here for the concert anyway. So, we found her a great deal, but then the problem became who would she travel with. Now, since the ski suit that SB got me for Christmas didn't work out (it didn't fit, and we couldn't find another one that I really loved), he offered to pay for part of my trip as my gift. WooHoo!!! I'm so excited, I could burst. It's very helpful that SB also got me a gift certificate to yoga, so I can spend the whole month between now and my trip getting in better shape. As long as snowboarding doesn't kill me in between yoga classes!

I would suck at living alone
Sexy Boyfriend is gone for a few days visiting his family. Since I have work stuff going on, I couldn't go and am home alone with the doggies and Simon.
I hate cooking for myself. I haven't cooked a real meal for the whole two days he's been gone. I have bagels for breakfast, so I guess that counts as a meal. For lunch I have had leftover pasta and then today I warmed up some frozen samosas. And some crackers on the side. Mmmm. Supper has been take-out - Quiznos, Subway.
Also, I am very lonely. I have called all my friends, called SB like four hundred times, and even spent a whole afternoon shopping. Although that was less about being lonely and more about needing some time to decompress - and spend my gift cards..... :P
When I am home alone, I rarely do things that are in any way productive. You are more likely to find me sitting on the sofa wondering if my cat ever wonders why he's the only one who pees in a box in the closet.

So, probably not the best time for experimenting....
Wowie wowie - what a crazy couple of weeks! I have made friends with more cats (for our business, not just random cats) in the last two weeks then in my whole entire life, I think. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day were pretty insano - SB helped out tons, and I think there would have been some serious meltdown action if he hadn't been with me. Next year we will keep at least one staff member working through the holiday - we are just too busy for just us to take care of it. Oh, well, at least we had one year of being nice to them!
Anyway, so I haven't had a day off since......I forget, but it's been a while, and I think I will actually get a whole day off on Tuesday, so I can't wait! Today wasn't so bad because I had appointments in the morning and then at night, but had the afternoon off. I did some shopping, which was pretty relaxing, but went a bit overboard and now my feet hurt.
Last week, I started to forget to take my meds before bed. By the time I realized it, it had been almost a week. They say that when you are on "Mood Meds" that after a year of being symptom free, you usually give it a go without them, and since it has been a year since I have cried over handsoap and tampons, I thought since I was half-weaned anyway, might as well cut 'em out all together.
Bad idea. Bad, bad idea.
I haven't really been spending any time crying in my car, which is what I did most of last fall, however this morning, while administering an insulin injection to my cat friend Freddie, I started crying over a commercial about DVR recorders. Or something similar. It's the one where the dad is watching a hockey game, and the little boy comes down and says he can't get to sleep. The dad pauses his hockey game ("you can pause live TV"), and makes like he is going to get up and put the boy to bed, but then he thinks twice about it, and says, "Wanna see a great goal?" Then he rewinds the game a bit, they watch the goal, and cuddle on the couch to watch the last few minutes of the game. All the while this really great song is playing, and at the end of the commercial you hear some of the words to the song, which is a line that says "I will be the one who loves you the most." I didn't even realize I was crying until Regis and Kelly came back on.
Aside from this alleged symptom, I'm feeling a little...wired. Frazzled. Maybe manic could be a description, but I really have no idea, since I don't think I ever had manic episodes before. My head is in overdrive, I feel like I'm in fast-forward, and I always feel hungry.
So, I think I won't be skipping my meds anymore.

Fast times
How did you spend your Saturday?
Bet it wasn't by baking 30 dozen Peanut-butter Honey Crunch dog biscuits whilst watching a marathon of The Real World: Austin.
Nope, I bet none of your were lucky enough to have a Saturday that exciting.

Hitting the slopes - a little harder than I had hoped
This weekend was the first weekend of ski/snowboard season!!! We bought our season passes last week, and decided to give it a go with some night-riding last night. Now, because we haven't gotten much snow yet, the hill has been making lots but only a few trails were open. I think there were like five trails or something like that. But, two were easy, and pretty long, so we decided to get a jump on things and get me a-learnin'.
My equipment is friggin' awesome. In the past when I tried to learn I had always rented equipment, but always had problems with pinchy boots, ill-fitting stuff, wrong board sizes, etc. When I decided this would be my year to learn, I knew I should invest in my own equipment, and I am so glad that I did. I think i would have gotten more discouraged with equipment problems. Plus, my board is cute. Who doesn't want to look cute?
All in all, things went pretty well. I have semi-mastered my back edge, so instead of nice ess-curves I make kinda z's, cutting back and forth on the trail, but always facing forward or pointed down. I tried a few times to go on my front edge, but fell on my face, so decided just to do what I was good at and not force too much on the first try!
It was a pretty fun night, although with the whole not a lot of trails open thing came the problem of people off all skill levels riding the same trails. This is very annoying when you are learning, and you can hear someone whizzing down, coming towards you. It made me so nervous!!! I also had some difficulties getting off of one of the chairlifts - but the other one was no problem. I fell down WAY too much at the beginning, thus my arms are killing me. First of all, from being jammed so much into the snow, catching myself, and second from pushing myself up at such awkward angles. Today my shoulders are killing me. (My actual shoulder joints, not my back and shoulder blades). Also, my thighs are killing from always being crouched. SB said that when I start to ride on my front edge my legs will get less tired cause I'll be working all different muscles instead of the same ones.
I was so sore when we got home I had to lay on the heating pad before bed. We only did three runs in like three hours, but they were the long and windy ones, and the first one took super forever. The last one was actually pretty fast cause I didn't fall and was moving faster by that point, but my legs and arms were so sore I was ready to call it a day.
Can't wait til next weekend!

Christmas is dead
As it goes with our kind of business, Christmas is a very busy time of year. While a lot of our doggies apparently take the holidays off, the kitty cats that we sit for come out of the woodwork for the period between Dec 15 and Jan 8. Because I am a super great person and love my girls, and also don't feel like paying time and a half to them when I have to be around anyway, I will be the only one working on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Now, New year's Day is not so bad, as per the schedule I have as of today (I have at least one addition per day these days). But Christmas. Christmas is dead.
I have 20 visits scheduled that day so far. Each visit is 30 minutes. plus travel time in between. Two of the visits are actually an hour long because it's a diabetic cat who needs to eat all of his food before getting his insulin, and he likes to take his sweet old time. If you calculate that out, it's about 15.5 hours of work. With no breaks for meals. Luckily SB has offered to help me do some of them, but I think this means I won't be cooking a big Christmas dinner.
Since I've been quite concentrated on getting the business ready for the holiday, I am not exactly in a Christmas-y mood. Last weekend SB said:
"Do you feel like getting our tree this weekend?"
"no"
"yeah, i guess it's too early."
"I don't really think I want a tree."
Silence and inner tears on his part.

Probably like ten pounds lighter
It's all gone. And I didn't even cry once.
Okay, so not all gone, but like a foot gone. You know it's serious when they put away the hairdresser scissors and break out the old-school Grade 1 teacher scissors (the metal ones that used to have a black coating, but that's wearing off so they are kinda just metal-colored with peeling black paint).
Anyway, so here is what my ponytail looked like after the fact:
So sad, so lonely, like some kind of beached sea cucumber. Admittedly, the ends are not in such great shape, but I think it will still contribute to a pretty terrific wig.
I was sweating when I arrived at the salon because I was so nervous. The girl at the front desk was super nice and told me about her friend who had done it. Then a random client was like "you're donating your hair?" and I said yes, and she was like "that is so awesome, good for you" It made me feel really great, and took my mind off of all the ways it could possibly end up sucky.
The hairdresser was really cool too - she helped me a lot figuring out what would work best rather than what would look great today and never again because I hate blowdrying my hair and am just generally hair lazy. I have seen people on TV who have this moment of breaking down when the scissors start to cut through the hair, but that didn't happen. I even liked the sound.
I can't wait for my first at-home wash. It will feel strange, having like 1/3 of the hair than I used to. Here are some photos.
In taking my own photo for this little exercise, I have discovered that I make some pretty funny faces. Also, please take note that, yes, that is indeed Degrassi the Next Generation on the TV behind me. Craig and Ashley got back together today.

More fun with Christmas commercials
Has anyone seen the new World Vision Canada Christmas ad? They now have a catalogue of items that you can purchase on behalf of your gift receiver. So you give this stuff to people in Africa in the name of someone here, in your family, etc. It's a really great idea, but I'm so not into how they advertise it. I've searched YouTube and can't find it on there, which was very disappointing.
It starts with a bunch of kids singing a version of the 12 Days of Christmas, talking about getting three hens for Christmas, two milking goats, and 1 dairy cow. Then the pretty blonde lady talks for a few seconds about giving the gift that keeps on giving, allowing families to thrive, etc, etc. She says something like "how thrilled will grandma be to see you gave a chicken in her name?"
I think they have taken a bit of a light-hearted approach to famine and drought this time, a take off from their "So This is Christmas" ad which makes me cry everytime I see it, almost as much as those WSPA commercials about the dancing bears do. I'm not sure they're tugging at enough heart-strings to get much out of it, which is sad, because like I said, I think it's actually a really great idea.
But, it has left me with a new holiday motto. I swear to you I am not making this up, it is actually in the commercial, but it is officially the response I will give to anyone who asks my advice about buying gifts for people. I will say:
"Why not give a goat?"

T-minus unknown, but I'm gonna do it
I've decided I am definitely cutting my hair off. I just need to find time for an appointment, which I think I might be able to swing this friday.
Anyway, for posterity, here is a photo of me from a few weeks ago:
Please ignore my big giant fat arm.
Anway, my hair was a little wavy (it was actually curly when I left the house at 1pm - this photo was probably taken around 8), so looks a little shorter than it is, but it can give you an idea.
Now, I'm thinking of getting a cut something like this:
With maybe longer bangs.
Or, I also really like this:
I actually think I really like the second one, but I'm a little scared.
Anyway, I'm going to bring my camera with me so I can have some photos taken before, and then when they lop my ponytail off. I hope the stylists will help me get some great shots.

I will never understand the canine digestive system
This morning I fed my dog a frozen strawberry. She was totally into it, because she loves fruit, and she also loves to crunch on ice, so this was like heaven for her. She crunched away for about 3.7 seconds.
Then she walked into the hallway and barfed all over the place. Not just frozen strawberry, but also last night's Greenie.
This she pukes up, but horse shit she has no problem keeping down.
